Global Call for Startups
Global Call for Startups is a competition for early-stage ventures dedicated to transforming the food system. It builds on the EAT-Lancet Commission report, which provides guidelines for healthy, sustainable and socially just food systems. Winners of the competition are put in the spotlight, invited to pitch at partner events, and provided with tailored support and strategic network access to enable the next wave of food system success stories.
From March 16 to April 30 2026, the Global Call for Startups invites startups worldwide to apply. Through a rigorous evaluation process, top startups are selected to the finals at the Stockholm Food Forum convened by EAT, in October 2026, alongside influential scientists, investors, and policymakers. Following the finals the teams are offered a tailored support program by our anchor partners, Antler, Katapult, and Norrsken, global early-stage investing leaders, including exclusive access to their programs and networks of investors, industry experts, scientists and ecosystem enablers.

Meet The 2025 Winners
From a global pool of 300+ applicants, five winners were selected and evaluated by a jury of leading investors, industry executives, and scientists from the EAT-Lancet commission. Selected for their pioneering ideas, these startups are tackling some of the most urgent challenges and rethinking the systems behind them - from reducing chemical use and food waste, to improving ingredients, increasing accessibility, and encouraging better consumer choices.
