What is the 'Global Call for Startups'?
It's a global prize competition for startups dedicated to the transformation for healthy, sustainable and just food systems based on the scientific framework of the EAT Lancet 2.0. It's iniatied by the four anchor partners EAT, Antler, Katapult and Norrsken.

What are the important dates of Global Call for Startups?
17 March 2025 - Application window opens
30 April 2025 - Application window closes
1 July 2025 - Finalists are informed
2-4 October 2025 - Finalists are announced and invited to attend and present live at the EAT Stockholm Food Forum

What do the finalists get?
Award ceremony: Invitation to attend and present live in front of a stellar jury at the award cermony at the EAT Stockholm Food Forum 3-4 October 2025, next to the world’s leading scientists, investors, politicians and corporations in the space. Travel and accommodation will be covered for.

Ecosystem Access and Network Growth: Exclusive access to international networks and programs of Antler, Katapult, and Norrsken, along with introductions to a global range of VCs, philanthropists, and investors and networking opportunities with influential stakeholders.

Global Exposure: Put in the spotlight, regionally and globally, across the anchor partners’ networks and different communication channels with >500k+ followers

What support do winners get from Antler, Katapult and Norrsken?
Antler: Residency access and direct investor connections.
Katapult: AI-driven investor matchmaking and pitch opportunities.
Norrsken: Global membership, talent support, investor networks, and pitching.

What happens after winning?
Finalists will be given individual advisory and guidance of the portfolio of support offered by the anchor partners to ensure best fit and highest degree of utlization

What is Stockholm EAT Food Forum?
The EAT Stockholm Food Forum is a carefully curated event, open to up to 700 participants by invitation only. It is the world's premier science-based event focused on transforming food systems, gathering global thought leaders from science, politics, business, civil society and beyond. The 3-4 October 2025 will mark the 7th edition of the Forum.

What is the EAT Lancet 2.0 Commission?
It is the next edition of The EAT-Lancet Commission, launched in 2019, which brought together 37 world-leading scientists to chart a pathway to a healthy and sustainable food system. Through creating dietary shifts, securing livelihoods, innovating agriculture, reducing food waste, and enhancing farming practices, EAT-Lancet Commission is creating an opportunity to support a transformative movement that aims to nourish the planet while staying within the planetary boundaries.

How can I apply to the Global Call for Startups?
• Ensure your business and solution meets the eligibility criteria.
• Click on the Apply Now button to complete your application form and submit it before 30th April 2025.
• For further details on registration, submission and announcement, keep an eye on the updates on the competition website and in the anchor partners social media.

Can I submit more than one entry?
Yes, you can submit multiple entries. Each entry will be assessed individually. Only one entry from the same individual(s) or organization will be permitted to advance to the next round.

Who can participate?
The competition is open for organisations across the world that are dedicated to transform the food system to more sustainable, healthy and just through a commercial business model. Individuals, research projects or agencies are not eligible to apply.

What's the role of the Jury?
We're extremely proud of the members of our jury, who has extensive experience and knowledge from their domains within sustainable food systems, business, investments, entrepreneurship, and innovation. They are part of selecting our winners and play an active role in the finals at the EAT Stockholm Food Forum.
