Global Call for Startups identifies startups that embed sustainability from the outset, integrating health, environment, and food justice into their core business models. The five winners of the 2025 Call reflect this mission, tackling urgent challenges and rethinking the systems behind them, from reducing chemical use and food waste to developing healthy and sustainable ingredients, enabling accessibility and encouraging better consumer choices.
From a global pool of applicants, five winners were selected and evaluated by a jury of leading investors, industry executives, and scientists from the EAT-Lancet commission. The winners will present their solutions at the Stockholm Food Forum, convened by EAT on October 3–4, and attended by scientists, policymakers, and food industry leaders. On October 2, they will also join Norrsken House Stockholm’s Pitch Night to connect with investors, experts, and entrepreneurs across the food system.
To support the winners, EAT has partnered with Antler, Norrsken Foundation, and Katapult—three global organizations dedicated to investing in and enabling early-stage innovation—providing access to tailored resources, investor networks, and strategic collaboration opportunities.
“From smarter farming to healthy and sustainable ingredients and less food waste, these innovators are reshaping the future of food”, said Dr. Gunhild Stordalen, Founder and Executive Chair of EAT.
